Blogging New Series in Japan

Adding to new things I’m trying out on this blog, something I want to start doing is blogging about new series coming out in Japan as they air. The only series I watched before now as it was coming out in Japan were The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and I”s Pure.

However, there is one series that I hope to start blogging about later this week, and another I hope to blog about if anyone actually decides to make a fansub of it.

The first series is Nagasarete Airantou,or The Floating Island, which started airing April 4th and airs on TV Tokyo. It’s basically supposed to be about a boy which falls overboard off a ship an then wakes up finding himself on an island full of girls. You can see where this one is going already. Series like this either tend to be really good, or really bad. I’m obviously hoping for the former.

The second series, if anyone fansubs it, is Seto no Hanayome, or roughly Bride from the Straight, is about a boy who is rescued by a mermaid. Unfortunately, if a human ever sees a mermaid, both the human and the mermaid must be killed, with the only recourse being that they marry. As a result, the two obviously marry and must live their lives without the mermaid being found out. This series started airing April 1st on TV Tokyo.

This will be my first time blogging individual episodes of series as they come out so…be gentle with me.
