Ok, I was thinking of including this as part of my writeup for Episode 3, but I ended up taking so many screenshots, that this is going to be it’s own post.

Welcome to School Days! This is the first episode of a series based off, both a famous and infamous dating sim game. It’s famous because it is the first dating sim that included actual animated scenes within the game. However, it is also infamous due to some of the “bad” endings in the game, which included things such as murder and suicide. The creators of the anime have to know that this is partly what the game is famous for, so we’ll see how or whether they’ll include any of those story lines in this show. School Days is supposed to run for 13 episodes, so it’s a half season.
Also, starting with this series, if you want to see larger versions of the large images, just click on the images and you’ll get a full size shot. In any case, enjoy!

Assuming there are no breaks in the airing of Nagasarete Airantou (which can happen. Seto no Hanayome took a week off this past week), it should finish airing September 26th.
The next project I’ll be taking on is School Days which, from what I’ve seen online, is a 13 episode series with an expected 3-OVA followup (or something). This series, again if there are no breaks, should air between July 3 – September 25th.
The project after that which I’ll start on will be Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2. Assuming this series is aired like the first one, it will air as 2 pairs of 8 half-episodes, once every 2 months (the first double-digit Saturday date). That means it would air August 11th, October 13th, December 15th, and February 16, 2008 – but this is just an assumption.
After that, there are several projects I’m looking forward to. One is Clannad, which is another Key visual novel adaptation. If I can hack through the Japanese well enough, it looks like they’ll announce when this will start airing in August. Most likely it will be a late fall 2007 or winter 2008 start.
Another series I’m looking forward to covering is Shakugan no Shana II. Again, no definite airdate on this either, though ANN says October 2007.
I don’t see anything on the immediate horizon which I’m just really looking forward to seeing at this point, though a few other series may catch my eye between now and then.
I’m glad other people know more what’s going on in Japan right now than I do. 21 months into watching anime and I’m still largely trying to catch up with what has already been released in the US for the past 10 years.
I’m currently watching four and blogging one spring anime currently. I may add another show to blog in the summer, though expect me to write those reviews different than Nagasarete Airantou as I’m still learning the best way to blog series. I’m also only taking one new series because I’m still not sure how much I can handle at once yet, so I thought that taking it slow first is better than biting off more than I can chew.
That said, what new shows will I watch?
