Chiharu and Naoko talk about how Twin Bells is selling “enchanted” cards, which are supposed to help with various things. The next day, Naoko, who is usually poor at physical education, is able to do the box jump, according to her, thanks to her enchanted “Jump” card. When Naoko shows her card off, Sakura and Tomoyo are rather surprised to see that they look just like Clow Cards.
The next day, Sakura decides to go to the shop to get a card to help with cooking, as she’s been having problems cooking fried foods, both in class and at home. However, she feels a presence of a real Clow Card where the “enchanted” cards are, but the Clow Card is no longer there. She asks Maki what card was in the place Sakura felt the presence, and she tells her it was the Shot card. Sakura asks who bought it, but Maki can’t remember except that it was someone in Sakura’s class.
Sakura calls up Kero and tells him the situation. Kero tells Sakura that Shot is a very dangerous attack card who will attack someone if you merely say it’s name or tell it to aim toward someone. Sakura and Tomoyo use Fly to find Naoko and Chiharu, but neither of them have it, but Chiharu says she saw Meilin at the shop again, so they go to find her.
On the way, Sakura runs into Shaoran and tells him the situation. They then fly off to find Meilin, finding her on the school roof. However, when the pair arrive, Meilin gets jealous that Shaoran was off riding with Sakura. As Shaoran tries to get the card from Meilin, she says she wants to use it to “take an aimed shot at Shaoran’s heart.” This activates the card, with Shaoran (and his heart, specifically) as it’s target.
The card starts shooting at Shaoran, and Sakura tries protecting Shaoran with Shield, but finds that she can’t protect Shaoran and seal the card at the same time. Sakura then uses Mirror to reflect Shot’s shot back at it, giving her the chance to seal it.
There wasn’t a whole lot new in this episode, other than the interesting fact of someone making “enchanted” cards that looked like Clow Cards. Was it someone who knew about or have seen a Clow Card, or just a coincidence? I guess it doesn’t matter, but it’s one of those things that make you think.
We also see probably the most violent Clow Card we’ve seen since Sword in this episode, with Shot being a pretty nasty card once it’s activated. Sakura also seems to be getting more adept at thinking on her feet when fighting cards as well, coming up with the mirror trick on the fly.
