The episode starts with Shaoran beating out Sakura for the Storm card. Back in Sakura’s room, Sakura and Kero end up having a fight because Sakura interrupted Kero’s train of thought, which Sakura interpreted as him ignoring her. The next morning, Sakura finds that Kero has cleared out one of her drawers to make his own makeshift bedroom, which just starts another fight.

After everyone leaves the house, Kero flies around mad and finds some alcoholic chocolate setting on the table and eats it all. Sakura then comes home from school to find the mess and finds that Kero isn’t there anymore. Meanwhile, a drunken Kero finds a trashed couch out in town to sleep on overnight.

The next morning, a young girl, Akane, finds Kero sleeping and brings him inside her room, thinking he’s a cat. Meanwhile, Sakura and Tomoyo go out in town trying to look for Kero after school but can’t find him. Back at Akane’s house, Kero is able to send out a fax to Sakura’s house telling her that he’s OK. Tomoyo then uses the sender’s phone number on the fax to figure out where Kero is.

Back at Akane’s Kero accidentally starts to hover while thinking, which Akane sees. Akane then tells him that she wishes she could fly too so she can go see “papa up in heaven.” Suddenly everything in the room starts to float – including Akane – and she float out the window but then gets blow up higher in the sky by a guest of wind. Kero, sensing that it’s a Clow Card, flies up to try to save her, but Akane is just too high for Kero. However, Sakura is there to catch him using Fly.

Sakura seals the card, Float, in mid-flight, which causes Akane to fall. However, another gust of wind blows causing Sakura to miss catching her. Kero flies under her to try to slow her down but can’t slow her down enough. Sakura then uses Wood to grow a tree to break Akane’s fall.

Ah, we had to have a “Sakura and Kero fight” episode eventually I guess. Though while I think this is probably only a mediocre episode overall, it does contain perhaps my favorite scene in all of Cardcaptor Sakura: the scene where Sakura storms down the stairs. For some reason, I bust out laughing every time I see that scene.

I also noticed that Shaoran started gloating again this episode, though that could just be because he actually was able to capture another Clow Card, so he got all big-headed again. But then again, that’s all we saw of him this episode too. At least Kero got a nice makeshift bedroom of his own out of the deal.

This episode reminds me too much of the AMV “Sunshine, Lollipops, and Grrrrr”, thus I am never fully able to enjoy CCS’s innocent charms again. :)
