Exactly, that’s the biggest problem if both the price is going to be as high as they suggest, and companies hope to buy it in order to make a profit (or at least make one by making them available).

For example, it could be useful to a consortium of anime companies to grab .anime to put all of their anime homepages. Of course, that doesn’t guarantee that they’d make it publicly available either.

The .anime and .manga TLDs could be controlled by a consortium of companies and organizations but I think that many of the possible TLDs in general will be too underpopulated to make it worth forming the TLD in the first place and cause confusion among non-tech people who have become accustomed to .com/.net/.org.

I doubt they’re gonna allow that much of a freedom, but who knows, if they’d allow .xxx

Lol, I almost mentioned the .xxx thing but decided not to. I would not be shocked if someone set up .hentai either, given how massive the porn industry is. In fact, I fear exactly what all they may set up lol (are curse words going to be allowed?)
