Right Stuf International and Nozomi has announced that they have licensed the anime series Aria the Animation, and plan to have more Aria announcements in the future (so I guess we can assume that they’ve picked up Aria the Natural as well probably)
Aria the Animation was released in 2005 and is 13 episodes long.
Right Stuf will be releasing Aria the Animation in a single subtitle-only box set on September 30th. And as I just said, they said to expect further announcements in the future about Aria.
Of course, apparently Right Stuf’s web admin did a boo-boo in the wee hours of the night and accidentially revealed the license. Oops!
(And apparently they had a few more oops moments trying to get the announcement page to load, as when the time came, both the webpage they forwarded to and the main Right Stuf website went down. Oops!)
Update:
ANN says that Right Stuf has the entire franchise: the 2nd TV season Aria the Natural, the OVA Aria the OVA ~Arietta~, and the just completed Aria the Origination.
Update 2:
You can pre-order the series now. It’s $49.99 retail, but is currently at $37.49 on Right Stuf’s website.
Update 3:
gia sayz that Right Stuf isn’t willing to announce anything past Season 1 (Aria the Animation) but does confirm that there will be more.
I read the actual press release, and it definitely reads as if there is more, but doesn’t specifically state if they licensed the entire series, though ANN obviously seems to interpret it that way.
