Maid Guy - Episode 02

It’s Maid Guy Episode 2. Naeka is bad at math. Naeka has big breasts. Fubuki, Naeka, and her friends don’t think this is a coincidence and try to do something about it. But this time Maid Guy might be the one who comes to the rescue.

  • Naeka looks at the whistle that Fubuki gave her, amazed that, if blown long enough, it could even kill Kogarashi when he opens the door to fetch Naeka for breakfast. Panicked, Naeka shoves the whistle into a drawer and slams the door. However, once Maid Guy leaves, she opens the drawer to see the whistle all bent up.
  • At school, Naeka and her two friends compare math scores, where Naeka comes in in a distant last place. Her friends ponder whether it’s really true that math ability is inverse to breast size. As a result of this dreadful result, the kendo club president forbids Naeka from practicing until she takes - and passes - the make-up test. Naeka protests, afraid that she’ll gain weight, but they remind her of last time she couldn’t compete due to bad math grades and the team performed poorly at the tournament.
  • At home that night, Naeka begs Fubuki to help her learn, but Naeka soon discovers that Fubuki is also well endowed and unable to help her learn math.
  • Kogarashi shows up and creates some weird drink that is supposed to stimulate the brain, but Naeka refuses to drink it since it is high in calories. Maid Guy is about to force her to drink it, but Fubuki stops him. This plan having failed, Maid Guy declares that he, himself will teach Naeka.
  • Naeka questions whether Kogarashi knows enough math to teach her, but Fubuki tells her that he used to teach at MIT (what were THOSE classes like?). Kogarashi then dismisses “the idiots who will hinder” him (aka Fubuki), but soon finds out just how pathetic Naeka is - as she seems unable to even add 1 + 1. She tries to make some convoluted excuse about how 1 + 1 can equal anything, but Kogarashi just slaps her around with his paper fan.
  • Kogarashi, seeing that Naeka can’t learn it, tells her to memorize her notes, but Naeka can’t since she never took notes. Kogarashi decides to get the notes a different way: my attaching a printer directly to his brain via a USB cable and printing out her teacher’s notes (as he attended her classes undercover).
  • However, Naeka soon falls asleep studying these, so Kousuke suggests that Maid Guy try to directly dump knowledge from his brain into Naeka’s via the USB, which doesn’t work either as her brain is “too small.”
  • Seeing as it’s morning and it’s too late for Naeka to actually learn the subject, Fubuki attempts to at least flatten Naeka for the day, but every attempt at this fails as Naeka’s boobs bust out of anything that tries to constrain them. Maid Guy then gives her a steel breast plate, and finally Naeka’s problems seem solved. However, in the middle of the test, this even gives way to her boobs, blowing up her uniform and the room…

I actually thought this episode was pretty funny. Despite the topic of the episode being Naeka’s breasts, there wasn’t a whole lot of fan service, per-se (basically a couple of quick boob grabbing episodes and Naeka’s boobs all but exposed for a couple seconds at the end). If this is where this series is heading, then I think I may actually like it.

I guess I shouldn’t have expected the whistle to last too long, as it was an easy out of Naeka getting harassed, though perhaps that forebodes the existence of another item like it which we’ll see later.

Probably my favorite part of the episode was “Maid Guy ACCESS!” with Kogarashi accessing the printer with the USB cable through his ear, though Naeka’s boobs blowing through every attempt to constrain them is a pretty close 2nd. Though, Kogarashi being hit in the face by a piece of steel plate shrapnel thrown by Naeka in frustration is pretty close up there too…

This is hardly the highest quality series I’ve ever seen, but it’s been funny so far (and not overly obnoxious on the fan service), which is pretty much what matters in a series like this.
