Ever wanted to live alone in a house with your own Kyou or Nagisa? Well, now you can! Well, at least online you can.
ANN has an article up about another article from ITMedia about a new service where you can create an avatar online and select a “chara-doll” from one of the characters from CLANNAD, Shuffle, and D.C. II: Da Capo II and have your own house on your own island and have your character, um, do stuff (I’m not sure what the full extent of “stuff” it can do is, however…).
Of course, you can still go to a “central” island where you can meet up with all of the other Nagisa-chara-doll masters and do…whatever chara-dolls and their avatar buddies do when they’re together.
Though, I’m wondering, if you take the wrong Nagisa home, does that mean you’re cheating on your Nagisa?
Anyway, the thing that made me giggle, though, was the fact that apparently each chara-doll can develop their own personality. I’m not sure if you start with a blank slate, or if you start with the personality of the original character and it morphs, but the idea of having a punk goth Nagisa, a mellow mellow Kyou, or a slutty, delinquent Kotomi just kind of makes me laugh a bit.
Only a bit though, since this is still kind of disturbing…
- If you like glasses....
- Don't lose track of your own personal Nagisa
- How dare you dress Nagisa up as a maid!
- Quack!

Can I take home more than one chara-doll? XD
This looks interesting. It could be the anime version of second life lol.
The day this is possible in real life is the day Clamp gets rich from suing over infringing their Chobits™ copyright.
