I watched for first Soul Eater last night...

I gotta say the artwork is unique. I was astounded, confused and intrigued with the quirky style. The colors are very rich and character designs are pretty unique.

The storyline is a bit lacking, but I never determine that until watching the first 5 episodes of any anime.

The voice acting is smooth and fit the characters quite well.

The artwork is enough to keep me watching until I determine if the storyline is too shallow to continue.

I give it a 3.5 out of 5

"This sounds like a conservative’s dream come true. Fighting evil political correct people who are oppressing all the conservatives from spewing vile hatred!"

Interesting... Unfortunately, you have just defeated your own point, and made yourself out to seem quite a hypocrite. It seems that you are, in fact, spewing defamatory hate speech and labeling another group of people stereotypically across the board in your statement. Furthermore, if the world was controlled by forces truly bent on "political correctness" and censoring free speech then you would not even be allowed write this in your blog. Conservatives aren't the only ones interested in free speech and anti-political correctness. When logically looked at from any school of thought that wishes to have the freedom to express their own ideas, the absence to political correctness to it's fullest extent is essential for everyone; including those you disagree with. Unless, of course, you believe in freedom of speech that only applies to you and those you agree with. The kind of freedom of speech and silences all opposing views because you think are unjust or incorrect. This looks more like tyranny and not freedom at all.

"Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so too." - Voltaire from his Essay on Tolerance.

Or as rephrased by Beatrice Hall in Friends of Voltaire, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".

That having been said, I disagree with you that this show most likely will not be worth watching. I think the idea of an anime about a Librarian Liberation Front armed to the tooth to defend freedom of speech has a plethora of potential for terrific comedy. I can only imagine what the enforcement of overdue books would look like. :D

Other than that it seems like you have a decent blog here though (and I will defend your right to write it - probably not to the death though...).

Have a nice day. :)

There are several titles that sound promising come Spring, hopefully they'll meet our expectations. =)

Itazura na Kiss, Kure-nai, Nabari no Ou, Real Drive, Toshokan Sensou, Vampire Knight, Special A, Nijuu Mensou no Musume, Himitsu Top Secret are the ones in my tentative watchlist. ^_^

Noooo!!! Don't drop Toshokan Sensou from your watchlist!! x__x;;;

It's more fun that it first sounds, really. I'm sensing FMP vibes from it, and character dynamics are just great!

I've cooked up two pimping posts for this one. Now if that doesn't convince you, then I'll accept that this really isn't your cup of tea :)
