Bandai Visual licenses Shigofumi, True Tears

That was fast. Too bad this means that more money will be leaving my pocket to get these series. Also means I lose two series to watch fansubbed since I quit watching once they’re licensed. At least they’ll be coming out pretty soon – reportedly the discs will start being released in May.

    Although you could buy about 5 season of Battlestar Galactica for that much.

    Anonymous – yeah I know, the price is ridiculous. I think someone on ANN figured $230 for a 13 episode series, which is frackin’ ridiculous.

    Just the very notion of only having a single episode on a disc is dumb. Not even the Japanese do that most of the time.

    Despite how much I’d like these series, I think these will definitely be either wait until they’re in the bargin bin or in a box set. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that way.

    Both anime still airing in Japan but why did they licensed those shows?
    War against fansubbers maybe…

    well, i’m not particularly opposed to an early license. I just think the prices could use some work..
