It’s amazing what a site like Anime-Nano can do. I decided to take a peek at my web stats for this month, and noticed that I had a sudden jump in visitors the past two days. At first I thought it was because I posted my thoughts about ICv2’s interview with Funimation CEO Gen Fukunaga, despite apparently having no one linking in to that page nor any comments.
Then I saw where I was getting the most visits from, and instead of the usual suspects at the top, I saw Anime Nano. I think I had submitted my page to Anime Nano a couple months ago, then largely forgot about it. Well, apparently I was finally added 2 days ago, and I’ve already received nearly 100 visits from there, making them the #1 referral site for my blog. In 2 days, thus the “wow.”
Just a note: some people may think with my monthly web stats posts and posts like this, that I’m obsessive about my web traffic, but I’m not necessarily, at least not anymore.
I think to begin with I was, just because I was interested to see if anyone was bothering to read anything I wrote, but now that I’ve been getting pretty decent traffic for a while, I haven’t been concerned with it so much. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not happy if more and more people keep visiting.

That’s great to hear. Our blog has applied not too long ago, and we’re waiting to be added. ^_^ Any hits boost is definitely nice.
A convenient pre-set-up blog aggregation site like Nano and ABA is a great service for fans, and there is nothing wrong with being on the lookout for ways to harness this service. It’s a win-win-win situation, and can only help improve your blog.
