I noticed that quite a bit has changed between the first and second Gunslinger Girl series. The series has undergone a change, both in animation style and voice actors used. While I can’t really demonstrate a difference in voice actors, I can show the difference between character Designs (you can click on each picture for a bigger version too):

different studios that animate the 1st and the sequel.
hey…that glasses guy, he’s all white hair now, LOL!
anyhow, season 1’s charac design was much more better. although, season 2’s OP theme kicks ass. haha!
in any case, as long as the story goes on, its worth watching.
yay!
I like Rico’s (season 2) blue marbled-eye. ahahaha! so cute. :)

Yeah, that was kind of my assessment as well.

Well, I guess putting little girls through the meat grinder does give these guys gray hair lol
I like the first season chara designs. They look more softer and emotionless in appearence. The 2nd season art looks the same as any other generic looking anime.(especially the eyes)
