It’s episode 7, and Fuko continues to give out the starfish. However, will Ibuki-sensei get married, and if so, where? But why are more and more people starting to completely ignore Fuko giving out her starfish?

The highlights of this episode:
- Ibuki-sensei arrives at the school festival. Nagisa and Okazaki bring Fuko to see her sister, but…Ibuki-sensei can’t see her. Ibuki-sensei tells the pair about the “rumor” that Fuko is wandering around the school, and asks if the Fuko was at school, whether the two of them would be her friends. Afterwards, Nagisa is distressed about having set up a meeting between Fuko and her sister.
- After handing out another starfish to Kotomi, Okazaki tells Fuko that they’d make great friends since they’re both clumsy. In response, Fuko declares that she’s more dexterous than Okazaki, and they end up fighting a battle using tongue twisters (which Okazaki handily wins). Sunohara then shows up and starts picking on Fuko, but she calls her secret army of admirers and they stampede away with Sunohara.
- After school, the two go see Ibuki-sensei to reaffirm that she plans to get married. She says she is, but all the places one would get married are all booked up. She ponders about getting married at school, but worries that no one there knows her, but Okazaki tells her that the teachers there know her.
- Ibuki-sensei then tells Okazaki and Nagisa the story about Fuko, how she was a timid child, and how Ibuki-sensei tried to distance herself from Fuko to try to get Fuko to make friends at school. However, on her way back home from the entrance ceremony in her first day in high school, Fuko was hit by a car.
- Nagisa and Fuko start a war over whether Dango or Starfish are cuter, but end up settling the matter peacefully.
- Fuko goes into her blissful state again after poking one of her starfish, so Okazaki gets Sunohara to put his head on the desk and places Fuko’s finger on his nose. After getting his face poked to death by Fuko’s finger, once Fuko sees that she’s been poking Sunohara, she then destroys his face with her starfish.
- Nagisa and Okazaki asks one of the teachers in school to see if Ibuki-sensei can hold her wedding at the school, and he says he’ll look into it.
- Okazaki and Nagisa go to see Ibuki-sensei to tell her that the teacher is looking into the possibility of letting her get married at the school. However, she then tells the two that Fuko’s condition has worsened recently, and the doctors don’t think that Fuko will ever wake up.
- That night, Sunohara tells Okazaki that at school he saw two guys completely ignore Fuko trying to give them starfish. When Sunohara stopped the guys to chide them about ignoring her, but they told him that no girl was there. Sunohara also tells Okazaki that other people are forgetting about Fuko and the starfish as well and asks Okazaki what’s going on…

We delve deeper into the Fuko arc as Ibuki-sensei’s wedding appears to be coming closer as it appears that it will be held at the school. Meanwhile, Fuko is handing out more starfish than ever. However, there appears to be a problem: Sunohara tells Okazaki that people are forgetting about Fuko, and clearly some people are ignoring her like they don’t see her, and now it seems it’s because they really don’t see her.
This obviously poses a problem, since Fuko’s attempts to hand out the starfish will be futile if everyone forgets about it. Also, this seems to be tied with the worsening of Fuko’s condition. I’m feeling a visit to the hospital in the near future. I’m wondering what would happen if Fuko saw herself in the hospital…
In any case, I’m sure a lot will happen in the next episode as we’re getting near to wrapping up this story arc.
