It’s episode 7 of Blue Drop. It’s time for summer break, so the group goes to dorm leader Hiroko’s house over the break. There, Hagino, Akane, Michiko, and Mari are faced with the challenges of challenges and the horrors of horrors. Meanwhile, Mari gets upset over Hagino when they go out swimming, but over what?

The highlights of this episode:
- Mari apparently passes her exams as she’s going on a trip to dorm leader Hiroko’s house, along with Akane, Michiko, and Hagino to help Hiroko’s family move.
- Once at the house, they meet Hiroko’s niece, Nori-chan, who is still a baby, as well as Hiroko’s sister who is yet again pregnant again.
- Mari, Akane, and Hagino decide to go swimming while Michiko stays behind to work on the script for her play.
- Back on the Blue, Azanael is locked up in the brig and is banging on the confinement shield, demanding to talk with Commander Ekaril (aka Hagino), but Tsubael tells Azanael that she’s on vacation, something which Azanael appears to find rather preposterous.
- Meanwhile, once they get to the harbor, Mari sees a rock out in the water and asks Hagino if she wants to race to see who can swim to the rock first, but Hagino demurs, saying that it seems dangerous since the water is so deep. However, Mari decides to swim out to the rock anyway. Hagino jumps in after her, but then spots a shell at the bottom that she likes.
- Back at the house, Hiroko’s sister goes into labor, and Hiroko has to take her to the hospital.
- Mari reaches the rock, but it starts to storm outside and Mari can’t see Hagino anywhere and starts calling out for her.
- Back at the house, Mari is grumbly in the bathtub, angry over Hagino making her worry about whether she was OK or not. After Mari is done taking a bath and it’s Hagino’s turn, Hagino remembers swimming out to the rock and seeing Mari calling out to her to see if she was OK.
- Meanwhile, the baby is crying, and Akane, Michiko, and Mari eventually figure out that it needs it’s diapers changed, an action which ultimately causes a big mess in the house. Mari decides that the baby needs to have a bath too, so she brings it into the bath so that it can bathe with Hagino.
- At the hospital, Hiroko’s sister has another baby girl, and Hiroko decides to go home, but while calling Michiko saying that she’s on the way, Michiko tells her that they’re trying to take care of the baby, but then the phone goes out. Concerned that the other girls have no flippen clue what they’re doing, she tries to rush back home but finds that an avalanche has blocked the road. Hiroko proceeds to try to climb over it.
- Back at the house, the girls feed the baby a full bottle of hot milk, but Mari fails to burp the baby or whatever and does other dumb things like twirling it around, so it ends up all coming back up, unfortunately for her, all over Michiko.
- Meanwhile, Hagino gives Tsubael the shell she found in the harbor, which gets Tsubael all excited.

This seemed to be a pretty humorous episode, if for no other reason than because everyone - including Hagino - basically has no idea how to deal with the baby, with Hagino going so far as saying that the baby is like an “unidentified life form.” We also get a nominee for Expression of the Year from Hagino in this episode.
The other notable thing we get this episode is Mari showing obvious concern over Hagino when Mari can’t seem to see her out swimming when the storm comes. Mari tries to deny that she was concerned, but Hagino, of course, knows better. Meanwhile, if it wasn’t picked up on earlier, it’s not made pretty obvious that Tsubael seems to have a thing for Hagino as well. Is it time for a little Mari/Tsubael rivalry?
There isn’t anything about this in this episode, but I’ve been wondering when Mari will finally end up being able to get on the Blue, and whether she’ll even be able to fly it around or anything (nothing better than taking an alien spaceship out for an afternoon cruise, afterall).
