Comcast/ODEX Update (Updated)

Yesterday I made a post about Comcast sending out DMCA copyright infringement notices to some of their customers (luckily, I am not one of them yet, though this makes me wish Verizon would install FIOS here rapidly).

Well apparently DarkMirage has been on the case and, if they are correct, it’s not only been confirmed that ODEX’s copyright infringement enforcement contractor BayTSP is indeed the one who sent out the original DMCA notices, but that apparently sending them out to ISPs outside of Singapore was a mistake on BayTSP’s part and that Comcast and, thus by extension, their customers shouldn’t have received the notices at all.

Apparently a commenter of DarkMirage’s blog messaged Peter Go of ODEX about the matter, and Mr. Go reponded that they have “fixed” the problem of BayTSP “misfiring” DMCA letters to ISPs. It’s unclear whether DarkMirage has independently confirmed this, so at the time being this is basically second-hand information and nothing has officially been confirmed, but this would match one of the theories that was floated around all day that BayTSP basically shot out letters to everyone, even though they weren’t supposed to.

Update:

As per DarkMirage’s comment below, yes, he independently confirmed that this was a mistake by BayTSP.

Blue Drop - Episode 07

It’s episode 7 of Blue Drop. It’s time for summer break, so the group goes to dorm leader Hiroko’s house over the break. There, Hagino, Akane, Michiko, and Mari are faced with the challenges of challenges and the horrors of horrors. Meanwhile, Mari gets upset over Hagino when they go out swimming, but over what?

What is that, exactly?
OMG It's an alien! Get away from me, you freak!

Shion no Ō - Episode 05

It’s episode 5 of Shion no Ō, and we take out another chunk of episode time to watch a Shogi match, though hopefully this one is presented in a little more easily understood manner than the last one. Also, a scandal rocks the Shogi association, and Hani-meijin apparently decides to say some controversial things about shogi.

It's now Ayumi...
...versus Saori My eyes are really freaky sometimes

ef - A Tale of Memories - Episode 06

It’s episode 6, and are we about to have a rumble in the jungle between Kei and Miyako? Also, while Hiro seems oblivious to Kei and Miyako’s growing rivalry, does he unconsciously show his preference for which girl he prefers? Also, Chihiro gets to go somewhere she’s never been to before.

Hello. I'm acting weird
Kei is slappy You want me in your movie?
