It’s episode 6, and it’s time for a school festival. What mischief will Okazaki and friends get up there. And what’s this? Fuko has a fan club? And what exactly happens when Fuko and her sister meet?

The highlights of this episode:

• Nagisa’s mother makes starfish shaped bread, but they turn into a smashing failure.
• Fuko, Nagisa, and Okazaki plan out a strategy to try to distribute as many starfish as they can during the founder’s festival which is coming up in a couple days.
• After school, Nagisa and Okazaki decide to have Fuko meet her sister, so they go to ask Ibuki-sensei if she’ll go to the founder’s festival. Along the way, they run into Yusuke (the ex-idol power worker guy) and Okazaki realizes that his name is the same as the guy Ibuki-sensei is engaged to (and he, in fact, ends up being that guy)
• Nagisa and Okazaki finally get to ask Ibuki-sensei if she’ll go to the founder’s festival, and she agrees to, saying that she had promised Fuko to go to the festival with her when Fuko enrolled at school there and wants to go on her behalf so she can tell Fuko what it’s like
• Sunohara is once again destroyed by Sakagami after challenging her (who is disguised as a bear) to a fight after bumping into her.
• Mitsui, the girl who blew Fuko off in the last episode, decides to accept Fuko’s starfish this time, and tells her that, if the marriage is after exams, she might be able to come.
• Ibuki-sensei finally arrives at the festival, however, upon meeting the trio, she can only see Okazaki and Nagisa

This was obviously a bitter-sweet ending, with the hope that Fuko and her sister will finally meet, but with Ibuki-sensei apparently unable to see Fuko. (I can’t tell if Fuko can see her, but it seems she can). I’m guessing that the focus now will go towards either trying to convince Ibuki-sensei that Fuko really is there and/or trying to figure out how to wake Fuko up from her coma. In either case, I feel a visit to the hospital is coming pretty near.
