It’s episode 5 of Blue Drop. Now that Hagino has rebelled against her own alien fleet, how will they respond? Also, Akane and the headmaster seem to have a rather close relationship.

The highlights of this episode:
- Maiyama, the head of school affairs, thinks there are some trouble students living in the dorm, and wants the headmaster to lay down the law. Included in the trouble students list is Akane.
- Hagino explains that they’re aliens (though Hagino doesn’t really think of herself as an alien since they’re from similar planets), but Tsubael wonders if it’s wise to tell a member of such a “low level species” the truth.
- After getting a “probe? what probe?” response out of Hagino, Master Commander Sebarill decides to order ship 2, the Gelbill, to attack and destroy the Blue.
- Maiyama goes into the headmaster’s office later in the day and finds him collapsed on the floor, and he ends up having to go to the hospital.
- Meanwhile, the Gelbill springs a surprise attack on the Blue, hitting it twice and critically damaging it before the Blue can get away.
- We learn that the headmaster is Akane’s somewhat-estranged father. Despite this, Hiroko, Mari, and Michigo try to persuade her to visit him at the hospital.
- That night, Akane tries to sneak out of the dorm, but Hagino catches her. Hiroko, Mari, and Michiko all suddenly show up with 3 different excuses for why Akane is leaving, and they end up having to explain the situation to Hagino.
- Back on the Blue, it’s found by the Gelbill again, but this time Tsubael teleports the Blue so that it is (literally) on top of the Gelbill, giving the Gelbill serious damage and forcing it to retreat.
- Back at school, Sugawara-sensei designs to assign the writing of the school play to Michiko…

Action, action, and more action! This time, the other ship’s in the Blue‘s fleet start to turn against it, which isn’t really good since it’s a 4 vs. 1 matchup, which supposedly an even bigger mothership on the way. In any case, we get to see that Tsubael isn’t necessarily dumb when it comes to battle tactics when in a pinch.
The thing about Akane and the headmaster is interesting, though we’ll have to see how relevant it is in the end. Of course, Mari has now been told the truth about Hagino being an alien, though I think she’s still trying to take it in. Of course, we still don’t know how Mari survived the incident on the island or why Hagino feels compelled to protect her.
In any case, if I haven’t said so before, I think these alien ships are really cool. I want one. Hey mom! Get me a cool alien spaceship for Christmas! I think you can find them on amazon.

was Sekai in this episode? =\ too bad for mr. principal… and that was really intended for makoto…
