Review

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is about a boy, named Sakura (which is unusual since that’s normally a girl’s name) who is to accidentally invent technology in the future that will prevent aging. However, since he’s a pedophile when he’s an adult, he makes it so that females stop aging once they turn 12 years old. This makes God angry and so he sends Dokuro-chan, an angel and member of his Rurutie’s assassin squad to go back in time when Sakura is in middle school and kill him. However, instead of killing him, Dokuro-chan tries to prevent Sakura from inventing the anti-aging technology in the first place.

Of course, one should note that this means, without killing him permanently. In reality, Dokuro-chan kills Sakura on a daily basis, if not more often, with her tetsubo “Excalibolg” only to resurrect him moments later using a special spell (it also cleans up the mess as well, which is especially useful since her favorite methods of killing Sakura usually result in his blood and guts being sprayed over a large area). After a while God sends another angel and Rurutie member Sabato-chan to finish the job.

As one might expect, this is a rather violent and bloody anime, but in a comedic way. Dokuro-chan usually kills Sakura whenever she becomes jealous, if Sakura accidentally gets a peek at her panties, or even if he stops paying attention to her, which happens quite often. Dokuro-chan never quite learns to restrain herself from repeatedly dooming Sakura, despite his numerous pleas.

Dokuro-chan also wrecks havoc in other ways, such as oft ruining Sakura’s approaches towards his crush Shizuki as well as having a halo which is as sharp as a Samurai sword (which, if taken off an angel, causes them to have explosive diarrhea). If you’re one who can get into some sick violent humor, you’ll probably like Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan.

The animation quality of this series is slightly above average, I’d say, with pretty good music (as well as a pretty funny opening song).
