Have you ever seen an anime series that you were so impressed with and thought was so good, that you kind of had to put other series aside for a couple days just to fully take in what you just saw?
That’s kind of what I feel like after doing a weekend marathon for the 2006 remake of Kanon. Forget any blathering that I may have said about Rumbling Hearts being the best romantic drama I’d ever seen, I think Kanon blows it out of the water (sorry for the pun), at least on my first impression.
Everything about it - the animation, the music, the story - everything is nearly perfect I thought. Just sitting here thinking about it, I almost don’t feel like watching anything else for a few days just because they all seem so pitiful in comparison.
