How I came to know about this series was actually thanks to my podcast more than anything. During the process through which I decide on what the opening theme of the week is going to be, I came across the opening theme of this anime and liked it (in fact, I liked it so much, that it became the opening theme of Episode 18).
I went to the usual places (see: Anime News Network and Wikipedia) to read up on it and liked what I had read. It looks like a good, old fashioned “well, the world was nuked, now what?” type futuristic sci-fi anime.
Of course, there are a lot of those, but this one just seemed to peek my interest and just seemed like a good one to watch. My instincts haven’t been wrong much when it comes to that sort of thing, so if they say I should watch it, I should probably add it to the list.
